I am getting a lot of questions asking if Walmart Black Friday Deals will be sold online also. The answer is yes and no. In an email response from my contact at Walmart Corporate Communications they will have some items but not all. She gave me a list of the times she knew of for sure and is checking on if there will be more. The items that will be online for sure are in question 5 below!
There have been a ton of questions asked so I sent off to get answers to the Top 5 questions that I have been getting. All of the answers are AWESOME and will help us save tons of money the Christmas Shopping Season. I have added in my own thoughts where it says Paul’s Notes. The orange is the quoted response that I got in answer to our questions.
Black Friday Question & Answer:

1.If I have something on layaway that is in the Black Friday ad …will I get it for the cheaper price?
A: Our layaway counter will close at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and opens at 8 a.m. on Black Friday. So if a competitor’s Black Friday ad is valid during our layaway hours on Black Friday, customers can use Ad Match to get a price adjustment to their layaway account.
2. Will Walmart Price Match Black friday Ads
A: On Black Friday, we will match competitor ads for identical Black Friday products. Customers who find a lower advertised price on an identical product can have the price adjusted right at the register. Ad Match Guarantee is available all year long.
Paul’s Notes: This question came up because of the Christmas Ad Match signs that are in all of the stores. What the signs are intended to mean is that if you bought it prior to black friday you will not be able to get the difference on a gift card. I did tell them that what people would do is just return it for full price during the sale with their receipt and rebuy it at the new price. She said that would be up to an individual store manager to decide.
3. Will Walmart match online pricing?
A: No.
Paul’s Notes: I have personally spoken to many Managers that will Price Match Online deals. The criteria is this: The online retailer must have a physical store presence in that area. It must be exact and it must meet all requirements of the sale (time, day etc) and must be in stock. This will be completely up to your store manager. My advice would not be to call your store and make a big fuss or say anything to the effect of “Corporate said No, but are you going to price match online deals?” It was this way last year and most stores will honor it from what I can tell.
4. Why does it have to start so early?
A: Black Friday is our Super Bowl and we can’t start the game at half-time. Each year we work to strike the right balance between what are customers want and being competitive. We’ve seen that our customers like to shop early, get some sleep and come back again the next morning.
5. What items will form the Black Friday ad will be online.
A: Customers can also get a jump start on shopping from the comfort of their homes with special online Black Friday deals on Nov. 28. Some of the great deals available on Walmart.com include:

yes, if Layaway is open during the time of the sale. Remember that most ads say “while supplies last” if you have the exact item, you have a supply.
So I’m not sure I get this. Let’s say Toys R Us has a deal that I want to get (Little People Disney Princess Castle for $25) Will Walmart price match the black Friday deal, even if it’s not in the Walmart Black Friday ad?
yes, you are price matching the toys r us ad. It is business as usual of price matching.
So if toys r us sale on an item starts at 5pm and Walmart is open can I go in an price match it even though it goes on sale at Walmart at 6pm. I’m talking about the skylanders swap force and inifinity sets!

Hi I just bought a phone and the black friday adds came out and that p have one is cheaper and comes with a gift card can I still get the difference and the gift card????
did you buy it at Walmart? I am not sure. There is some goofy stuff with the cell phones and plans, but it is worth asking for sure!

What time will the online sales be on Nov 28th?
HI I put a galaxy tab on layaway at walmart and I just finished paying it about 2 weeks ago and I saw that its going to be on sale on black friday through the 1st of december is it possible to get a price match even though I already finished paying it on layaway and already received my item?
I think you will be able to, but I would have to look at the ad. You may have to return and rebuy
Hello, I was wondering so I have a tablet in layaway, and its on sale tonight at 8pm, will I be able to get it for the lower price since you said layaway closes at 3pm today? Or should I just buy them and take that one off of my layaway? Thanks

we don’t know yet exactly what items will be available online. They usually go on sale earlier that the store sales, but keep checking back for more info.
