When was the last time you had a Date Night? This time of year things get crazy and it is really easy to forget to take some time just the two of us. That is why I planned a special night IN. Babysitting for us gets ridiculous and the 16 year old is really hard to pin down on a Friday Night. Instead of the stress and expense I made arrangements for the kids to stay upstairs in the playroom and have their own movie night while we had ours.
It is really important for the kids to see us have special nights together. Nights with the table set up and they know we are just spending time with each other. Obviously they don’t need to know where the romance goes, as far as they are concerned they all came from Mom eating ice cream.
I love to cook and I love to shop, but with all of the deals I have been finding it is hard to plan a gourmet meal. Instead of throwing a meal together hoping I had all the right ingredients, I used Plated.com and got the ingredients for a gourmet meal delivered to my door. I seriously can’t believe how easy it was and how good they made me look. Do you see that steak!!! Of course it took a grill master like me to make it perfect but the meat was amazing and the sent me all the ingredients I needed to make it taste wonderful.

Dinner is over and it is time to cuddle up and watch a movie. I LOVE Redbox, but I HATE that I always forget to take it back. That $1.20 has turned into $25 too many times, I am actually banned from them. I was pretty stoked to find VUDU! With Vudu you get to watch basically movie theater movies at home, before they are even available on video and never have to leave the house! We narrowed it down to two choices, which one did we choose? 🙂
