Will Walmart allow Target printable coupon for $1 off? And can I then stack it with the manufacturer coupon? Making the item free plus a few cents overage?
Sam, Walmart will not, the only way they take a Target coupon is if it states a price for the item. Like, “clorox for $.99” not “$1 off Clorox” then basically they are price matching the coupon.
Oops for the v-8.
WalMarts coupon policy states they will only accept one coupon per item.
I have two ad or coupon questions about Walmart so I do this correctly
1. If there is a coupon in the Walgreens ad, let’s say Chicken of the Sea, Chunk White Tuna-$.89. Is that an ad price match or do I need to get the ad, cut out the coupon, and present it at walmart?
2. When I price match items from the Kroger buy 10 deal, I don’t have to buy 10 items to get the deal at Walmart. So, if I match a coupon that is in a weekly ad (if the above is an ad price match) that states “limit one with a $25 purchase” are those limitations in place when you price match?
Thanks for any help!
1. I don’t cut out copetitor coupons I just bring them in because they are treated like a price match at the register.
2. The weekly ad sounds like a store coupon not a MFG coupon, those are not honored unless there is a stated price and really, technically it requires another purchase and they aren’t supposed to honor that per the policy. The limit issue comes up a lot. the general rule is that if it is a store limit then WM will ignore it because they have a larger inventory. I actually don’t mind them imposing the limits so shelves cannot be cleared. Ihope this helps, things will vary some from store to store, I feel obligated to state the policy as it has been interpreted to me. Thanks.
Paul,
Thanks for the reply! The weekly ad for my small store has coupons in it just like Walgreens (actually like the Skintamate post before this one). The only difference is that is states “Chunkwhite Tuna – $0.89 each. Limit 1 with a $25 purchase.” The only difference is the addition of the “with a $25 purchase”. So I guess I am still a bit confused. If the Walgreens coupons that are in the ad are treated as a price match (question 1), wouldn’t all coupons that are part of the weekly circular be treated as such?
I just want to be certain I do this correctly, so thanks!
only if each coupon stated the specific price of the itme it ws for. anything that states like $1.00 off or 20% cannot be used as a mfg coupon.
I shopped Walmart this weekend when a store manager was the cashier. He took my Target coupons to “price match” items I was buying. This amounted to him reducing the purchase amount by the dollar amount shown on the Target coupon. For example, 75 cents off Post-It labels. Then he took off the $2 from the manufacturer’s coupon. I got them for free. Although the Target coupon has now expired, I went back to Walmart this morning because I had two $2 off manufacturer’s coupons for the same item. Walmart had marked them down to $1.97. So I got two more items for FREE. Apparently, Walmart doesn’t consider the Target coupon to be a Coupon. It’s a price match.
Maggie, this is a manager discretion deal. All stores treat competitor coupons as a price match. the issue others will have is that they are not supposed to honor store coupons for $ or % off of an item unless the price is stated on the store coupon.
They also don’t accept Target web coupons. Target coupons from inserts yes, but not the internet.
Avocado’s for 50 cents… I wish they were that cheap where I live. *pout*
I used the link with the $5 off 5ct Zyrtec information above, and attempted to print the coupon; it eventually redirected me to a Walmart ‘Health’ site, where it showed the $5 off coupon, and again stated that it was applicable to the 5ct size. Again, I clicked ‘print” in the button under the $5 off 5ct. size. It finally printed, but the printed coupon produced was for $5 off 70 ct size! I repeated the entire process, starting again on your site, as above, and the result was exactly the same. The third and fourth times I tried to get the $5 off 5ct, it stated that I had already printed it the maximum number of times allowed! Disappointing, and such a waste of time and ink!
I went to walmart tonight.. $1.98 for 1 avacado! Yikes!
