Have you heard about Walmart’s Fresh Meat Guarentee yet? Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. There was a day not too long ago when I told people to buy their meat somewhere else, those days are over and Walmart is putting a guarantee behind it to back it up!
Walmart prides themselves in selling USDA Certified Choice Beef. If you feel for any reason the Great Value meat you purchased wasn’t a great value simple grab your receipt and the packaging for a full refund! Don’t just take my word for it, here’s Walmart’s statement.
“Our guarantee is our promise that you’ll be fully satisfied with the taste and quality of every Great Value product. If for any reason you aren’t happy, we’ll replace it or return your money. Whichever you prefer. All you need is the package and the receipt. It’s that simple. Great quality. Great price. Guaranteed.”

Just thought I’d share my recent walmart experience regarding this new “guarantee”. I, too, have always disliked walmart meat…it doesn’t taste “right”, and I don’t really see how I’m saving any money if it tastes like crap. I heard about this new guarantee and thought, what have I got to lose? Well, I spent $10 on a ribeye, and wouldn’t you know, it was like a piece of flavorless leather. I went into walmart and was HARASSED by 3 different people at the customer service desk….they yelled across the store making a scene and trying to make it seem like I was wanting something for free… Said I needed the product, I had to produce the steaks if I wanted my money back. I argued that they sign directly above the steaks says just bring in your receipt, but I was still ridiculed and turned away. I called corporate and they immediately had the district manager find me in the store, and I was told to go back up to customer service to get my refund (and the weird thing is, she still made it sound like that’s not their policy, but since corporate was on her ass, she was going to “have” to) Once I got back up to the front, I was still given a hard time, nobody believed that I talked to someone, kept telling me to describe her, etc. And the same RUDE cashier comes walking over causing a scene yelling “NUH UH! NUH UH! No WAY you’re actually going to give that money back!!” TO HER MANAGER that turned me away the first time. Needless to say, I got my refund, and again called corporate to complain about my treatment. I’m never stepping foot in that store again.

I would like to share my recent experience regarding this “Guarantee”. First, I purchased a sirloin and found it flavorless and dry so I brought the receipt back. After being hasted for not having the original blood covered packaging I was eventually issued a refund. A week later, I decided to try the a New York Strip hoping for better results. Unfortunately, it was also of sub-standard quality. This time I brought back the receipt and packaging. Half an hour later, the store manager came out and called me a “dishonest person,” and banned me from buying meet in the store again.

Learn to cook Yankees. Any steak is not going to have a flavor unless you add salt and pepper.

Bought two New York Strip steaks. The overall quality of the meat was good but it had no flavor. I cook on a regular basis and someone needs to tell Wal-Mart good beef needs oats, corn, and grain not just grass. I will be returning for a refund tomorrow.
