I had an executive conference call with Walmart and I’m so excited to share with you some great things coming very soon for Back to School and Back to College. Walmart was really excited about the back to school and I am too, but one term the big news is that Savings Catcher is launching nationwide!!! Booyah Baby, it is here!!!
Back to school is one of the biggest times the year for Walmart. This year they’re making it even better all of us by having a huge cyber Monday back-to-school event. There will be over 400 items on the rollback or special prices that day that will help you save on all your back-to-school needs. They are even including hundreds of household items so basically it’s just one big sale.
There are three big things that I took out of the conference call that I want to tell you about!
1. Back to School Cyber Monday Sale August 4th.
2. Savings Catcher is rolling out nationwide the same day August 4th. It will include Household Goods along with the Grocery Items that you can save money on! THAT MEANS YOU WILL BE ABLE TO USE IT FOR BACK TO SCHOOL!
3. Walmart will be participating in Tax Free Weekends this year ONLINE on Walmart.com and at your local stores.
WALMART SAVINGS CATCHER DETAILS:
Here’s how it works:
- Submit your receipt to Savings Catcher in any one of two ways:
- Enter the receipt number (the TC number) into Savings Catcher at Walmart.com/savingscatcher. You’ll find this number located near the bottom of your printed Walmart store receipt.
- Or, scan the code at the bottom of your printed store receipt, using the scanner in the Savings Catcher section of the Walmart app.
- Savings Catcher compares the prices of the eligible items you bought at Walmart to the advertised prices found in the print and online versions of the weekly ads of top retailers in your area. The ads must be valid at the time you made your Walmart purchase.
- If Savings Catcher finds an advertised price that is lower than what you paid for the same exact item at Walmart, you’ll get back the difference on a Walmart Rewards eGift Card.
- Items that require a separate purchase to get the advertised price (example: “Buy oatmeal to get cereal for $1.”)
- Items with no actual price that require a purchase to get a free product (example: “Buy both oatmeal & cereal to get milk for free.”)
- Items that require a purchase to get a gift card (example: “Buy a 12 pack of paper towels to get a $5 gift card.”)
- Buy one get one free (BOGO) deals where no item price is listed (example: Peter Pan Peanut Butter, buy one, get one free. Save up to $2.50.”)

Savings Catchers is going National starting August 4th. Walmart has low prices all the time and they want to help their customers save money all year. The Savings Catcher App is just that, it “catches” savings that you might have missed. If you are price matching items and forgot one, or just didn’t realized an item was cheaper at another store, this automated app will find that savings and Walmart will issue you a egift card for the difference. If that wasn’t enough excitement, Saving Catcher is expanding and will have 100,000 Grocery and General Merchandise items included in this program. How convenient is that!
These are just some ways that Walmart is our Low Price Leader.
