How to Coupon and Price Match at Walmart
Here is a list of the Top 5 Walmart Price Match items from Dollar General. Yes, I know there are only 4 items on the list, but I count Oreo Cookies twice at $2.00! This is a new store I am considering adding on a regular basis, I would love some feedback on this!

If you have the Pink for a Cause coupon booklet you can use the $1.00/2 Planters Peanut Butter coupon to get them for $1.50 each when you price match them at WM.
The Planter’s Peanut butter is only $1.96 at my Walmart. but if it costs more at your Walmart then by all means match it!

What about the 12 big rolls of cottonelle for 5.00. I that not a good price match? I have a 1/1 coupon for this too.
my Walmart does not carry this exact size. You have to make sure it matches exactly. I could only find the 12 Double Rolls at 3 different Walmarts.

Paul, just a heads up. There are some REALLY great deals at Save-A Lot if anyone has that in their area. I price matched Dole 12oz bag of salad for $1.00 (reg priced 2.98) and Sara Lee whole grain white bread was $1.69 (reg price was about $3). And thanks for inspiring me to price match my own regional stores 🙂
I did the same thing!! I was lucky enough to snag a couple newspaper inserts a couple weeks ago in another grocery store (Riverside Red X in Kansas City) and was able to get them for $0.25 each!! Too bad they don’t keep long 🙁

ah man! I have tried 2 different Wal-mart’s and they will not allow price matches from Dollar General! They consider it a “dollar store” when it really isnt it just has dollar in the title.

Why do some walmarts pricematch to dollar general and some dont?can the stores decide that themself or is there a general rule? i went twice and my walmart would not let me pricematch the cheeots cause first its dollar general and second cause it is a buy 2 get 1 free deal so i told them that i did not want to buy it then and went to my dollar general where i got the cheetos and they let me use the 1off 2 coupon and the free pepsi if u buy 2 coupon! any advice on how to handle a problem like that in the future?
I agree, please price match DG. This store is in almost every city now, and at times (not always) it is more convenient to shop there when you only need one or two items. I don’t see many websites (here in TX) that have a DG Coupon Matchup List, but I do use one, just for the matchups. It’s couponmom (dot) com.
From what I have seen lately, they have a Sales Circular almost weekly now which would make it easier to price match. Oh yes and on occasion they also have Store Coupons on their website to print that can be matched with Man Q’s. Thank you.

I actually really look forward to Dollar General’s ad every other week. They have some really great deals sometimes! I think you should continue the price matching. The only thing to consider is that Dollar General usually has a $5/$25 On Saturdays printable coupon on their site, which you can use before coupons have been applied 🙂
today i went to family dollar in houston and dawn 14oz dish soap is on sale .90 use .25/1 from 10/2 total .65….these are 1.20 at walmart same size too.
Please continue to PM Dollar General! My Walmart will price match (thank goodness) and I prefer to shop all in one store. Also, sometimes my Dollar General runs out of stuff before the sale ends!
