I have had a lot of requests for a Family Dollar Price Match and here it is! I have found all the best deals and matched them up with coupons then put them in this printable list for you. Let me know if there are any good ones I missed.

I’m always nervous to price match at WalMart. I write on my shopping list where I found the best price but I find after a while the cashier gets tired of it and the people behind me get frustrated. Is there a better way?
Do your shopping early in the morning between 2-5:30am when there’s no one shopping but yourself 🙂
If I don’t see a cashier I know I ask a CSM which cashier would do best with price matches/coupons. That way I know I’m not going to fluster somebody new. If I have a lot of stuff and there are a couple people in line behind me I offer to let them check out first.
Amanda, it’s their job. My Walmart has some of the rudest cashiers you can imagine. To he!! with them, make them do their job. It’s the store that came up with the price-matching policy!
amanda, all you can do is smile and be as nice as you can (which isn’t easy sometimes). i do what you do with the list, i put my price match items at the end, have a list with what store and how much, it seems to go quickly that way. i even put my items with internet coupons at the end in case they don’t scan, they are easy to get to that way; and if possible , i even shop at off hours, we are at walmart on sunday mornings by 7(that’s when the deli, customer service, etc. open). don’t know if that helps but it’s worth a try.
I use small post-its on the items with the price match prices listed. I try to shop off hours as well, but it doesn’t always work out for me. They just hafta deal with it, along with people behind me. Besides, half the time, I’m teaching the cashiers the price match policy anyway. Lol. However, my store refuses to match to Dollar General. I wonder if Family Dollar would be the same?
All the walmarts around me will not price match unless you have the ad and if you dont have the ad they have to call the store that you are price matching with to see if it is that price. It’s to much trouble and takes to long, and all the cashiers are hatefull. I dont go to walmart any more unless i just have to.
Kimberly, They should price match! It is Walmart’s policy. You also don’t have to provide the ad. (although it does speed things up). Take a copy of Walmart’s policy (and any other store you go to) with you. If they give you a hard time, contact the CSM, and if that does nothing, contact corporate!
They should have a copy of the ads at the registrar. I would be bringing their policy in with me. It sometimes helps to approach a CSM about this stuff before you ever start your shopping and point out the policy to them. If they still refuse it get their full name and call / email corp. You’ll get their attention and it will get fixed.

i agree i dont price match at wal mart either i just go by the store that has the product, its not worth the worry and aggervation that wal mart cashiers give me
Walmart cashiers use to not be so nice. So I have told them, that this is a learning experience for them as well to save allot of $. I usually go to a cashier that i know because i will only go to there line. if there isn’t one I know, and have to go to one that i don’t know and she is snooty about my q’s, i’ll ask her if she has a problem with my q’s or is just having a bad day. The people behind me usually ask me questions about all my q’s. If they are acting ugly about this, i really don’t care. I’m saving as much money as i can and they can just wait. I use to have a problem with them about price matching, not any more. I just tell them what the price is at the other store and that’s that. I have seen the csm more than once. I write down what store has what that I need and the price to when i go to walmart I don’t forget. Be sure you ck your receipt before leaving and make sure you got your credits.
I try to have a seperate list for price match items, just to be courteous. I also try to go either very early or very late when it’s not as busy. As for rude cashiers or customers behind me…I always warn them that my transaction could take a while. Their have been times when people behind me complain. I doesn’t bother me because they don’t pay my bills…and I have told them as much. I even told one guy if he wanted to give me the monetary value of my coupons in cash, then I would not use my coupons. His wife shut him up! Usually people are more curious to see what I’m saving. Either way…I don’t let it bother me because, like I said, they don’t pay my bills.
