The bugs are out in full force and are getting ready to RAID your house. I opened the door last night to go get some photo paper for my son’s project and found this at my door! Yes, those are babies all over its’ back, I dropped a piece of popcorn for scale. You can use this $1.00 off any Raid product coupon to help fight them back. We have a general rule that we don’t kill spiders that are outside of the house, so I let this one live. (recluse and widows are excluded from this program)
This is the best use I found for the coupon so far, what are your pest problems where you live. We have roaches in Texas that are bigger than that spider!

yes, paul, we had a very mild winter and then we had a large amount of rain, our problem near tyler has been mice and rats, a pest control guy i know says that is all he has been called out for lately, ugh….but please keep that creature in your picture in houston, lol. i would have to move if that was in my house.
Omg I’m creeped out now! Lol If I saw something like that here in South Dakota the newspaper would come check it out LOL
Sorry, inside or outside, that thing AND all its little babies (ewwww, the pic gives me the WILLIES!) would be TOAST! I would’ve had to call my husband to kill that monster because the babies would freak me out!
Anyhow, here in Cali, we already have them MOVING in… the spiders, the ants and centipedes! YUCK.
Thanks for the awesome deal ideas.
im gonna puke!!!!!!!
thank god i dont live where you do!!! we get alot of icky spiders but nothing like this!!!!!
That looks like a MONSTER! I probably have the worse fear of spiders in the entire world. My husband has to shake my bed down before I can even get in it and you can totally forget me going into any place dark or where I can see a web. I almost caused a wreck when I spider got on me in the car. Being this afrais is not fun…I cannot stand to even look at a plastic spider let alone something this big. That looks similar to a spider I discovered in my Dad’s bathtub (I haven’t been back in his bathroom since) I think it was a wood spider or a wolf spider. I would have called 911 if I seen that damn thing on my step and then take off running in the opposite direction.
Michelle – I’m right behind you on being afraid of spiders. When I was a child if a spider got on my bed my mother or father would have to come and dispose of it (they couldn’t kill it on my bed either). As an adult, I can now dispatch most of the ones we have here but I can’t stand to hear them go crunch so the vaccum cleaner does a wonderful job of taking care of those.
We once made the mistake of trying to smash a spider like that (it was in my living room). The room was kind of dark and I just thought it was a BIG spider and immediately screamed “KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT”. Biggest. Mistake. Ever. Baby spiders took off in every direction….I was a little traumatized to say the least.
I can imagine, I did it outside once to one in the pool and that was a scene let me tell you!
