This should be an easy price match for most of you. There is a limit of 4 except in NM, what is up with that NM?!
I didn’t know you could do the buy one get one free at Walmart. Does it have to have the price in order to get it? I love price comping at walmart PLEASE HELP!!
I have already been to Walgreen’s and got mine. Hooray for coupons.
I’d like to know, I’m a New Mexican!
My Wal-Mart wouldn’t let me do this, because the price for one was cheaper at Wal-Mart.
Michelle, tell them they are supposed to split the price and charge that amount for each one as a price match.
Laura, yes they need to have a price listed for the item.
In Iowa I had a hard time with them matching this deal. They said that 1.68 for one was cheaper than 2.99. I said yes it is, BUT its not for two packages. They attempted to tell me their coupon policy has changed. I said well that’s probably the coupon policy I have and whipped out the coupon policy. They kept trying to say it was an online price. (Thank goodness I brought the WAGS ad in with me) I kept saying it says a price right here. Finally they called a manager ( to which she was NOT happy about my doing this) She took my policy and read it and actually told the cashier to go ahead and override it.
It kind of made a scene but I was not backing down and I’m glad I didn’t because I got my hotdogs! I usually have no problems, I just think they don’t always like to price match things. Between target and walmart today I saved 59%! I was super excited! I love your website btw!
I was also trying to price match my cereal from WAGS ad and with the hotdog fiasco I forgot to price match them and they let me do it at customer service without problems so it was overall a good experience, just took a little longer than expected!
Grat job Alicia, what part of Iowa are you in?
Des Moines area. I live in Bondurant, which is a small town 5 miles from Des Moines. I thought I did good with my purchases at Wal-mart and Target! I didn’t go to WAGS, not much I needed there.
I wanted to share the great shopping trip I had this evening to Wal*mart thanks to the posts on your website (thank you very much). I purchased:
(2) copies of all you magazine (June issue) @ $1.88 each
(18) packages of Kool-Aide mix @ $0.20 each
(4) 3-packs of Ivory bar soap @ $0.97 each
(4) 1lb. packages of Oscar Meyer hot dogs $1.68 each
Subtotal = $ 18.04
Use B2G1 Free Kool-Aid packet coupon
Use B10G5 Free Kool-Aid packet coupon
Use (4) $1.00/1 Ivory soap coupons
Price matched Oscar Mayer hot dogs with Walgreens BOGO Free
Use (2) $1.00/ 2 Oscar Mayer hot dogs coupons
OOP Total = $7.89 for 28 items!
i’m in ID, and Wags used to have the limit, “except ID and NM”–just recently dropped the ID. i’d read somewhere that we have (had?) a law that prohibits stores from limiting the amount of items we can buy—must be the same in NM.
but i did pick up 8 Crunch bars today at the sale price, even though the limit says 6; i think the cashiers/registers aren’t sticklers for those limits.
is it wrong to say that they are on sale for $1.50 each? i went through a problem with the clean and clear and really don’t want to fight the battle again
I got 4 packages at Walgreens and then went to Walmart with the rest of my coupons and for the B1G1 price match they rang each pack up at $1.50 so I still saved 18 cents per package. 🙂
