There is a lot of deals flying around regarding the great new $1.00 off Any Sunbird product & combining it with the BOGO available under Zip 77449 from Coupons.com . You must buy 3 packs to comply with the Walmart Coupon policy. Walmart does not allow coupons to be used on free items and requires you to buy 3 products. Is there a work around on this, of course there is. Walmart will get reimbursed for all of it but I would prefer that you do it by the policy. $.56 for 3 packets is an amazing deal.

Hi there! I was wondering where in the coupon policy it says that coupons may not be used on a free item? I have gone over it several times and all I could find was that they do not accept at home printable coupons that do not require a purchase for example a coupon that reads: ” Free Simply Orange juice. no purchase necessary.” Could you maybe clarify that for me?
All coupons are not allowed to be used on free items. Walmart interprets that a bogo is applied to the item you are paying for making the 2nd item free. Therefore only one coupon can be used. Other stores interpret that the coupon is applied to the second product making it free.
Ok. I cant find anywhere in the coupon policy where it states that coupons are not allowed to be used on free items. They do allow manufacturer coupons for a free item. Example: One free box of Dove ice cream bars up to $5.99. Only if they come from the manufacturer though. Print at home versions of these arent aloud according to the coupon policy.
I just left Walmart where I intended to use this deal. The cashier tells me no more than 1 coupon per item and if I use a B1G1 I cannot use the $1 Q with it. I told she was wrong she rang me up stuck my coupons in her register and I paid the bill. Upon looking over my receipt I realize she didn’t acctually apply the $1 Z so I paid regular price for them!!! I cannot believe her audacity. I am so mad. I know its not even $4 but I was only buying them because there was overage!!!!! Cashiers like this infuriate me.

My walmart says they don’t take B1G1 coupons. I tried last week with the scotchbrite wipes. Is this true?
no, that is not true
I had a cashier try to refuse the same coupon! I already had fought her tooth and nail over every coupon so I took the coupon back and went to customer service instead. The Assistant Store Manager AND the CSM told me they do in fact take BOGOs, and will also take a dollars-off coupon for the first item, the one you are paying for. This is the third Walmart who says they do that, but each time the register beeps if you try to use two coupons….
you should be able to use both coupons one on the item your buying and the other on the free item, the way this works is that they price both items at 50% of value, so a BOGO deal selling the 1st item at $2 and the second free, is really both items at $1, so you are still paying for both and therefore you can use two qpns the BOGO on the 1st item and coupon on the second
That is not the way Walmart interprets the policy. if you are using a BOGO coupon you are not supposed to use another coupon on either of those two items.
My Walmart allows me to use a coupon on the item I pay for, but not the free one. 🙂 But I do have a great Walmart that PMs even store COUPONS and store brands with thier’s.
why would you be required to buy 3 items? Do you just mean in order to use both coupons at the same time?
I try to be very ethical with my couponing and I don’t see anything wrong with using a dollar-off coupon in combination with a BOGO coupon. The way I see it it’s no different than any other coupon that requires a purchase of something to get a discount on something else…here’s some examples-
—Buy 1 bag of Charcoal and save $0.50 on BBQ sauce….
—Save $2.00 on bananas when you buy 2 boxes of Nilla wafers.
Those are two recent examples that I’ve seen. Because the discount is NOT for the item you are required to buy (in order to get the discount on the SECOND item) then I don’t see a problem with using a discount/coupon on the required item.
I’ve been able to use the two coupons in conjunction before, at Walmart and a few other places. I have had a problem occassionally where the coupon won’t scan but I didn’t know that was because they won’t take the two together- I swear half of my print-at-home coupons never scan right anywas…and this new barcode system isn’t making it any easier!
Worst part is I’ve just moved to a really small city (8,000 pop.) where the nearest bigger city is 45 min away; the only stores here are Walmart, Hyvee and Fareway. And I hate shopping at Hyvee because they have the most ridiculous coupon policy EVER (won’t accept coupons on free items, won’t even accept coupons if the coupon is worth more than the item to give overage, won’t accept a coupon if it is worth the SAME value as the item). Since there are so few options here the price competition is horrible. They know they’ve got a monopoly on groceries so they don’t have to worry about beating someone else’s prices. And we don’t have any of the major-chain drug stores- Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS. Or Target. I’m so sad 🙁 But drive to where we moved from (one of the cities 45 min away) fairly often so I do my Walgreens weekly shopping then…
What I’m getting at is I don’t have a lot of choices, and I’ve couponed a few times at my new Walmart and have had two problems- one cashier told me I couldn’t price match that much stuff (I had like, 12 candy bars) especially without the ad, and another telling me that they will not accept print-at-home coupons if they don’t scan the first time. What? They won’t even try to scan it using the other device? NO! She claimed they just hand them right back. I understand they have to be careful with internet coupon fraud, but like I said, HALF of my prints never scan correctly, or it takes a few tries!
Does anyone else have problems with printed coupons not scanning?
**And I tried to print the Sunbird coupon but I can’t find them anywhere. It appears they’re both gone- it’s a bummer too because for the past couple of weeks I kept seeing these coupons when browsing but hadn’t bothered to print them out yet because I was trying to save paper! Argh!
yes that is how you have to do it to use both coupons at Walmart.
