annabelle says
You’re paying $12.70 for a $10 gas card? Why don’t you just use the $12.70 for gas instead?
Paul says
I’m not sure what you’re asking. But I’m also getting the cereal with this
annabelle says
I get it, the point of your post was to imply that by buying all these cereal you can get a free gas card. Great! But you are still paying $12 to get it so yeah I get that, but it’s just cereal, with the way gas prices are going I’d rather spend the $12 on gas than on this cereal just to get a $10 gas card. $12 > $10 is all I was trying to say. Sorry if this offends you or anyone. But we all can’t be made of money.

If you’re on this blog you’re here to save money correct? So why act as if you’ve never seen deals like this? Are you new? It is annoying to make a comment like “we all can’t be made of money” because a person is suggesting spending a little money on food. My family of 10 goes through about a box of cereal in a day, 10 boxes is less then 2 weeks give or take a few breakfasts.
I don’t understand why people must make comments like this on a blog thats to hightlight great deals.
Ashley says
I’m pretty sure he’s doing it for the gas card a lone. The gas card is a promotion or “perk” for buying them. If you already plan on buying the items, for example, I planned on buying the corn flakes, the gas card makes the deal BETTER. Who would really pay $12.70 for the gas card how is that saving money? lol
And Paul the deal gets better if you still have the $5/5 or $4/4! I still have 2 of the $5/5 so I figure my trip should look similar to
10 Rice Krisipies @ $1.77 = $17.70
– 2 $5/5 Kellogg’s 10oz+ = $7.70
– $10 gas card = $2.30 profit for gas and cereal!
Ashley says
he’s not*
Amy M says
Your are paying $12.70 for 10 boxes of cereal and a $10 gas card, or $2.70 for 10 boxes of cereal if you really think about it (.27 cents a box) I will be getting the cereal and gas card too!!! GREAT DEAL PAUL, THANKS FOR SHARING!!
Kerri says
Paul, I have a coupon that’s $1.00 off ANY ONE Post Raisin Bran cereal. It expires on 3/25/12. It might have been regional. But it would make for an amazing deal at $.77 per box!
Jill says
That would be a great deal, but the coupon is for Post Raisin Bran and the sale is for Kellogg’s Raisin Bran.
Kerri says
Oh man…you’re Jill. I totally missed that! Thanks!
Jennfier says
annabelle, you have to buy gas anyway right? so spending $10 on gas is a given. so it’s like you’re spending $2.70 for the cereal.
Lori says
I have that coupon. Yay! .77 raisin bran
lacey says
yay I still have 5.00 off of five so .77 each for 5 boxes of cereal
mollina says
sorry kerri thats for post raisin bran and the sales for kelloggs 🙁
Amanda says
I still have the $5/5 coupons! That would make this a money maker, right?
Becca says
Thanks so much Paul. I was just getting my CVS stuff ready for the next sale, and was worried that I may not find 10 boxes of the cereal I wanted at CVS. PRICE MATCH! I appreciate your pm reminders so much.
Lamora says
Dang it! My $4/4 coupons expire on 3/17!!! GARFUNKEL!!!!
Lisa says
My $4/4 coupon specifies it is for the 20-oz. size of Raisin Bran. Won’t work for this deal anyway!
Kathryn says
Lamora, you can try your CVS after 6 pm on Saturday. Usually the prices are already in the computer. 🙂
