I recently purchased a package of individual servings of Mott’s applesauce with cinnamon. When I got home and read the list of ingredients, I was shocked to see “high fructose corn syrup as the second ingredient. Why? Aren’t apples sweet enough? Who would have thought that your company could manage to make applesauce an unhealthy snack. What about the obesity problem in the US?
I promptly threw out the applesauce, which pained me, as I do not believe in wasting food. But,consoled myself by recognizing that this applesauce could not be classified as food.
