Finding a 32″ Flat Screen TV that is name brand for under $250, is not easy to do. There are 2 TV’s right now that have good reviews and are what is considered black Friday priced.
Both are LCD, which I personally prefer:
- LCD televisions more effectively reduce glare from lights and windows.
- LCD TVs do not burn-in, making them ideal for sports and video games.
- LCD televisions have a wide viewing angle, so everyone in the room gets a good seat.
- Go HERE to Walmart.com

Question Paul, last black friday Walmart had 32 inch tv for $198 (I believe), do you think they will have them cheaper this year since it seems like every year they get cheaper and cheaper bc of the technology changing?? What are you thinking the price of TV’s will be on black friday?? Also, I have heard rumors that Walmart is going to start selling black friday items at 10pm thanksgiving night but also hold out the bigger items till 5am again, have you heard anything about that?
Walmart is having 2 black friday sales, one at 10 pm, and one at 4am, electronics are being offered during both. If you find a good price I would go ahead and buy it, unless you want to stand in a line. They are handing out tickets for the big selling items, and once they are gone, they’re gone.
I have a question about price matching target ad had 32″ Westinghouse $197 each store only had like 1 so I missed out. Can I take that ad and price match at Walmart? I’ve never tried to price match before
All TVs (LCD, Plasma, & LED, even OLED) have retention otherwise known as burn in. This is because ALL manufacture companies turn up the settings knowing that stores don’t adjust the picture on shelf displays.
Solution: Calibration
Definition: Adjustment of Brightness & Contrast
Professional Service: Best Buy could cost $179 per TV. I have done this because the $$ is in the savings on the longevity of the TV. But most people can get by with adjusting their TV to a DVD.
Budget: Grab either a still image if you have great eyes or grab a DVD with a setup feature (i.e. like the old color bars) and adjust your features using the menu of the TV.
Two things that need to be tuned in every TV is grayscale and white. The white will look a tint of blue when you hold up a piece of paper to it. And the shades of darkness or grayscale will not be set at black. Great movie to set it to is Dark Knight.
LCD televisions more effectively reduce glare from lights and windows. TRUE (But not all LCDs, most of the 120hz have taken off the anti-glare film on the TV)
LCD TVs do not burn-in, (TVs that are ideal for sports and video games are the ones that have 120hz or auto motion).
LCD televisions have a wide viewing angle, so everyone in the room gets a good seat. (All TVs have a great viewing angel, but the best goes out to Plasma!)
If you have any questions, I’d be more than happy to answer them.
Black Friday you should see a 40″ LCD 60hz for $299
I bought the 32″ on Amazon for $197.00 this morning because the shipping was free and they didn’t charge tax. I think if you buy it online at Walmart you will be taxed on the $229.00 and in TX that means 8.25%. Also, Amazon originally gave me a shipping date for next week sometime but an hour ago I got an email telling me the tv has been shipped and I will get it this Wed!!! Great deal!! Thanks Paul for posting it.
The tv that amazon has is this a off brand im not sure
