Just wanted to let you know I was checking out the site…
So the last 2 times I gave been to my local WalMart to use any coupon (ie ky, tide, cortaid &nabisco just to name a few) I had several of my pons turned down before they even read or scanned them stating “I got the wrong item, it doesn’t match the picture”. When I explained to them that the coupon states ANY they tell me that that is nit what it actually means, that the manufactures want them only used on what’s in the picture! How does one go about dealing with a situation like this. Here is my actual example: $2 off one tide detergent excld trial and travel size… I got the large tide powdered detergent.. The manager (yes MANAGER) sd it could not be used on that it HAD to be the tide with bleach liquid as in the picture!? Help! Our store (which is store 2 out of all the walmarts) is causing all couponers some detoured grief and making up their own coupon rules.. What do we do??? Any suggestions?
On the nabisco they stated it had to be the Teddy Grahams in the box not the cup as shown in the picture..
I never advocated the ones in the cup. I used the 41.00 small boxes, I thought the cups would be a hassle.
In a situation like that you need to call corporate right in the store and say “ok, lets find out from customer relations what it means”. they will back down in most cases, make the call anyway so they cannot do that to another customer. The only issue you may have is if you don’t state ” I want clarification on the corporate policy” if you start with “my manager won’t” you will hear “the manager has the ultimate authority and discretion for what is best for his store”. its not about the manager or the cashier, it is about policy.
when they try pulling the “picture” game with me.. i pull out a coupon that shows 1 item, but says off 2.. and i tell them ok ill play that game.. i want this 1 item using this off/2 coupon! – then they seem to change their mind.. then i say just a question for my own personal knowledge.. do i have to have the ad to price match (knowing there is a sign right above the register stating they dont require ads) and they (the managers say yes you do) i kindly point out the sign above their head.
Print the coupon policy and take it with you!!! explain to them you have the same coupon policy in your hand that they SHOULD have at the main CSM stand!
BUT: i want to say this issue only happens at 1 of 3 local walmarts.. the same store every time.. who also has an issue with per purchase / per transaction.. I dont get “smart” with everyone just that store because they make up their own rules. :/
when i do price match i bring my ads to save a fight at no matter what walmart i go to.
I actually called Tide because of this same issue and they told that the picture has nothing to do with it. They are to go by what is stated on the coupon.
hi there
does anyone knows how much honey bunches of oats cost at walmart
they are on sale at Kroger this week for $1.99 Family size!
my walmart had the scotch brite for 2.48…i was so dissappointed
This morning I used .55 off any Starkist tuna pouch on the tuna packed in water for $1.08 paying .53 each. I’m sorry I can’t remember where I got the coupons, I think a newspaper insert.
I love to use your website but unfortunately, it has not been much help. You do so much work, and it is greatly appreciated. However, the prices at the Walmart where I live are always approx. $1 higher and sometimes more, over the prices you show. On top of that, the cashiers hassle me every time I try to price match or use a coupon. And its main competitor next door (think RED) has prices usually $1-1.50 less on EVERYTHING… Boo to Walmart. I certainly hope corporate monitors your website. I think I will copy this and email to corporate. You do a great job though… Thanks.
Heather, I never have a problem at any 1 of 3 Walmarts in my area, UNLESS I shop at night at one particular store. Like u said, the 1 manager wants to make up her own rules!! I live in a rural town, therefore I get additional ads in my paper to ad-match, plus some ads come out Wed instead of Sun. If it isn’t in the Sun paper that is sold at that Walmart, you must provide the ad or she won’t honor it. Any other time, they will take your word on any ad-match without proving it. They would not honor an “any” vicks product for Puffs w/vicks, because it didn’t match the picture. My last trip, the cashier informed me that my q’s (from inserts or printables) must have a certain UPC or the mgr won’t accept them (as she is manually entering this type when the mgr isn’t close!). Has anyone ever heard of this??? It must be the tall fat UPC with the #’s under it and not the short fat UPC with the numbers on the top. I started inspecting my q’s after she mentioned it and there are plenty that might be an issue.
As far as the Nabisco q, I haven’t tried it yet, but I figured the cups might be considered “travel or trial size” that is excluded.
The q for the puffs with bucks wasn’t valid because it isn’t a Vicks product only a puffs produce with Vicks. I had another store tell me that. As far as the cookies q goes I didn’t have any issues on the cups and couldnt find the small boxes, but my moms store said that the coupon wasn’t valid in the cups even though there were no size restrictions.
have a question so i went to walmart today to get the schick disposable razors and the coupon specific say on any 2 schick razors so i got the two of the ones that are 1.97 so the register rings and it not taking the coupons but i explain that i have done it before and they always gave it to me. So she goes to her manger and comes back and say it has to be one on the picture of the coupon. And i say no read the coupon it say and TWO SCHICK DISPOSABLE RAZOR… So i just left the razors. What can i do next time cause i going to use the coupon again i just want to know how can i explain to the cashier
Thanks 🙂
I just wanted to add to your list..for those shoppers that use Publix as well as Walmart. I found several tear pads at my local Publix stores (usually around the cooking kiosk) that are for 75c/1 Frank’s hot sauce. Since they are MQ, you can get a few and use them at Walmart since their price is cheaper.
Why is it that my WalMart does not have the sale prices you list? This has happened several times. The latest is the cost of the Mt. Olive pickle relish. It was not on sale for the $1.08 you listed, Where do the sale prices come from?
the store prices do very by region. How much was the pickle relish. My store actually doesn’t have it, That is a price a reader sent in last month.
I used the Nabisco coupon for the little travel size cups at Walmart in Nacogdoches. They scanned fine and the cashier didn’t ask any questions. I might’ve gotten lucky. I guess it just depends on the store or cashier.
I feel I have to say that is not the right one to you them on. The coupon does state not for single serving. That is why I was suggesting people buy the boxes, they are like 6 or 7 servings
I used them on the single as well…it does not exclude singles? That is the same as using a coupon on a trial size that does not state for trial size. You use it on trial size because it does not exclude it. If you could not use in on singles it would exclude it . You did nothing wrong in my eyes
I also used them for the singles with no problem!
