I dont know about anyone else, but I only received the SmartSource insert š I was so upset when I opened my papers. The inserts were all sealed up but only with the SmartSource. Did this happen to many others? I am in the Dallas TX area…..
Lauri says
I’m just North of Dallas and received 3 inserts (Smart Source, Red Plum and P & G)
lacey says
Its happened to me before I think whoever is putting the newspaper together isn’t putting all the inserts in. this week they i bought 2 papers neither one had the p@g but one had 2 of the same red plums in it. i wasn’t to upset about the p@g cause I was able to get mine wed in my area’s adpak but it is the point because you paid for the paper
alyssa says
I only got the redplum š I am in Idaho
alyssa huerta says
Im in corpus christi, texas and I got 3 inserts excluding target, sometimes this happens to me on rare occassions I will get one insert or none at all. Sorry
JoAnn says
I never get a Redplum, they don’t distribute in my area anymore. And P&G only recently started back up here. No “other” ad this week either. The only one I can count on is SmartSource.
That Frugal Girl says
Our papers were missing the P&G Insert. My dad looked through 30+ papers at Walmart and not one had a P&G. However across town we found a few papers with P&Gs in them and picked them up!
Melissa M says
I am thinking its just in my direct area. I have asked people at my work and the same thing happened to them….. durn it!!
coupongirl says
I didnt see that the FLOSS was free. Arent they .97? And there was a $1 q. Also how much are the reach toothbrushes are they free with the $1 q? TIA
Kelly says
Okay I know NOTHING about couponing but promised my husband I start using them. Where are you getting the “inserts”? If I find coupons on the internet and print them out will Walmart take them? What will they take and what won’t they? Do “double coupons” still exist and what are they? What are my best resources for couponing as those that I have found aren’t for products I EVER use. Thanks for any help guys. You can email me directly at klmadry@hotmail.com if it’s easier. š
Patricia says
Hey there,
You should get coupon inserts in the Sunday paper. I go to Walmart and buy the two local papers for $3.00. When I started, I ended up with clipped coupons everywhere so I bought a cheap ($1.00) 3 ring binder and plastic baseball card pages to slip my coupons into. This made it easier for me to organize them. Depending on where you live you might receive another coupon bundle during the week in your mail from the mail man. Usually Smart Source or Red Plum.
Walmart will take all manufacturer coupons either printed online or from the paper. I recommend coupons.com as a good place to start as well as smartsource.com and redplum.com. There are several good sites to help you along too. I started using freebies2deals.com . She has couponing basics to help you get started.
Double coupons really donāt exist. However, there are stores that will double coupon values. For example there is a local store near me that will double coupons up to $1.00, so a coupon that is good for .55 cents savings would be worth $1.00 off that item. There are very few stores un Utah that are doing double coupon days, so if you can find a place that does it in your area then you are in luck!! ļ
When I am looking for coupons for stuff I use, I usually check out their website 1st. (I created a ācouponā email address for myself so that my regular e-mail isnāt backed up with tons of stuff.) Youāll want to sign up to be a part of their newsletters, deals, coupon groups. For example Pillsbury is a great site to get coupons on stuff that I use regularly. So I signed up and am now able to print coupons directly from their web site. They also send me updates and let me know when new coupons are available. So I recommend visiting tons of web sites and signing up to get the discounts.
The best thing about Walmart is that they will match any competitors ad price on everything. So if your local grocery store has a great deal on letās sayā¦.1 Gallon Milk for 1.99 a gallon then you can go to Walmart and they will match that priceā¦and you donāt even need to bring the ad with you. I usually make a list of all the good deals in all the ads and then do all my shopping at Walmart. (Now I donāt have to drive all over the place burning up gas to save .50 cents..lol.)
I hope this info helps. If you have any other questions drop me a line at my email address.
Happy Couponing!!
Patricia
r.p. says
my sis and i both bought dallas papers from different stores across town from each other and we both only got the redplum and p&g inserts.
Sarah says
Here in Springfield ohio I was told by my newspaper company that there was a shortage on the P&Gs and that you aren’t garenteed anything unless you are subscribed to the paper.
Sandy says
Live in Arizona. Got P&G, SS and Redplum this wkend from nsppers I bought at CVS. The delivered paper included the 3 plus Target coups. One never knows…………….
LaToya says
I read on another blog that you should price match the Olay soap to Rite Aid where it’s buy 1 get 1 half off….will Walmart price match AND let you use coupons….?
Paul says
Hi LaToya, you are allowed to price match and use a coupon. the issue here is that in order to price match the item must have a stated price in the ad. The olay doesn’t have a price so the policy is that they will not price match it.
MICHELLE says
I only recieved 3 inserts this week-end SS red plum and P &G. Any one know the status on double coupons at Walmart nationwide? I was told they were test marketing it in West Virginia.
Jessica says
They did do a test market in my area (WV) last July through the end of October. It made for some awesome deals! It was a bit of a headache because it all had to be done manually but it was well worth it! I heard we won’t know anything until they have their quarterly meetings this month. Cross your fingers!
