  1. wish I had known I already used mine at cvs and they had to adjust the coupon so I paid tax which still wasn’t bad but would rather have made money

I went EARLY this morn (@7 am) and my Wal-Mart was completely out of stock…hum, kind of funny that there were 3 empty slots where these go – wondering if Wal-Mart took them off the shelf because they knew about this Q!!!! Sometimes I love Wal-Mart, most of the time I DON’T…their becoming more and more Q unfriendly!!!!

    • I doubt they took them off the shelves – they’ll get reimbursed by the manufacturer. There are only about 10 per slot = 30. All you need is 6 couponers to take 5 each, and they are out. I went and got 1…saw a lady go by with 5, so I went back and in a matter of like 3 minutes, they were out.

    • Walmart does this all the time. They are very unfriendly to couponers. I don’t know why anyone shops there….I generally find them to be more expensive than other stores.

  3. I went at 9:15 today and they were cleared out. With the short expiration date, I doubt they will get any back in. Here’s to hoping they do!

  4. Sometimes I also think they remove certain items off the shelf, when there is a high value coupon for it.

    • They are known to do this and the stores who do take it and adjust the price down are in a sense, defrauding the companies by getting back full face value of the coupons.

      • ‘Adjust the price down’, like Walgreen’s is notorious for, is another way of saying altering the coupon. Many coupons say VOID if altered. How can these businesses get away with this fraud??? I went to FD today to get the Bic Deuce razors – $1.65, but had a couple of $2 coupons. They don’t give overage, which I knew, but my Walmart doesn’t carry these. Still, got for absolutely free so not complaining. The girl did have to check with the manager to see if she could take and how to handle. She says, as I am opening the door to leave, “Well, you robbed us blind on that one.” I stopped and said, “No, you just MADE .43 off of BIC.”

          • The CIC (Coupon Information Corp.) needs to start cracking down on these retailers for adjusting down the price (altering the coupon) and still getting full face value from the company.

          • People need to write these companies and let them know what these retialers are doing!

  5. i just came from walmart, they had a ton of them, i got six and there’s still more, normally can’t find anything here. They had about 50 of the razors and shaving cream for $5.97(where you can use the $4Q). I spent $31 OOP for $120 worth of stuff!!

  6. my coupons come out on sat. so i went to 2 walmarts on friday night before they closed and the shelf had at least 20 of them per store. went in the morning and stood outside waiting for them to open and when i got to the shelf they were gone at both stores. so i called my girlfriend who works in that department and she said they were told to take them off the shelf and put them back out on the 9th because o0f the coupon. i think that is totally wrong!!!!!!!!

  8. My Walmart and CVS were both wiped out early this A.M. when I went. CVS had around 30 Fri. night when I was there. maybe someone got them Sat. night. I don’t get my inserts til Sun morn.

  9. Target had plenty in my area – I didn’t bother with Walmart because I know they are pulling items off the shelf lately. Target pays overage as well – made $1.03 on each one.

  10. walmart does take them off the shelf when a god q comes out at least that is what they do here at my store…every time I go no matter the time the shelfs r emty….this what I hate about them

  11. Has anyone ever considered contacting Allegra so they are aware that their items are being taken off the shelf on purpose?

    They might care if you let them know you wanted to try their product and were excited about the high value coupon, but were unable to use it.

    • I really doubt they are being taken off the shelf. My store had 11, I saw it on the scanner myself. I also saw that it is a warehouse out item which means that the stock will be limited. Walmart carries a bigger supply than anywhere else but even at 20 in stock it only takes 4 people with 5 coupons, yes even in separate transactions to wipe out a Walmart.

I wonder about Walmart, I started to think they pull them off there shelves, doesn’t make any sense for any store to do that due to the fact that it is a sale for them and the manufacturer will reimburse them. I don’t understand it, I’ve had the same thought about Target, if you all remember when we had the $3/1 Beneful mq, why was it that shelves were empty and they never restocked them until the coupon expired?

I was thinking the same thing about Walmart because the reach floss has been out in every store in my area-Brandon/Valrico Fl since the day the coupon hit and I hear the same thing it is a warehouse issue. All other stores have it in stock for a much higher price so why is it such a hard task for the largest retailer to get floss in stock..HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND. When the vaseline lotion was a deal-“FREE” it was the same issue as well as they stated the company was changing the packaging however once the coupon expired the shelves were stocked. If it is a warehouse issue why can’t we get rain checks.

  16. My Walmart here (North Central TX) had a good supply of the Allegra 5ct. available. I only had one coupon and I was excited to be able to get at least one, BUT the coupon didn’t scan at the register and the CSM said they could not enter it manually anymore. Bummer. Anyone else had issues with the coupon?

  17. I work for Wal-Mart as the OTC department manager. Many of the items that have good coupons for them sell out fast. You have to consider it’s not just that one store but possibly the four other Wal-Marts in that area that are being hit and all five Wal-Marts are supplied from the same warehouse. In my store, I have seven on the shelf and it is out at the warehouse. When an item gets low on the shelf, it’s ordered – so you have to consider all the stores getting low at the same time and the warehouse not being able to produce what is needed. It’s not the stores fault, just an issue of too much being needed and not enough supply for everyone.
