Here are 2 trips that I Heart The Mart reader Tracy sent to me today. I think she did a great job, she explains beow where everything is going. I can’t figure out why she is donating all the KY. She must not be a new reader has some from the last go round.:-) Seriously though, it is a truly great feeling to be able to help people through coupons. Thanks so much for sending this in!
We did 2 transactions, spent 28.84 saved 73.26- the Lala drinks, Hartz treats, gum, frebreze & cascade we are keeping. The rest is being donated between 45 & Hope and someplace taking donations for the people affected by these wildfires so close to home.
Donating 16 Johnson & Johnson first aid kits, 2 toothpaste, 6 ky (lol, it gave us an overage) 2 deodorants, 6 floss, 24 razors-that have coupons inside so we’ll be getting more razors to donate on our next shoping trip.
Spent $6.08 nope I don’t need any of this…however, if I can donate a bag full of stuff for $6 I will…of course I’m keeping the cascade but the 36 razors, 18 bar soaps, 8 travel deodorants, 8 travel toothpaste, 8 first aid kits, 4 pks of Colgate wisp mini brushes & a box of band aids are being donated
-this is what I have posted on my fb page, someone asked do we really need everything we buy….and the first pic I did add that a lot of the stuff we got from your under $1 list-obviously this was all bought at walmart, the second was also 2 transactions, my husband & I always shop together.
the top pic we were really excited by, these probably are our best savings at walmart & we are donating most of it 🙂

Actually 6, they gave us an overage & I read that lubricant was a need on one of the many list posted of needs for the firefighters/shelters helping with the wildfires in our area
This is a great way to get items for Troop Care Packages…little to no cost and its items that they can use (toothpaste, soap, razors, etc). Keep up the great work sharing with others!
I do not know how people get so many coupons without buying them & does that defeat the purpose? I am pretty new to couponing but am learning due to finances. lee4jc7@yahoo.com Thanks! Lee
We buy multiple papers (ordered multiple subscriptions at a time when they ran a 50 cent special) & also share/trade coupons with people at work
Lee I have several neighbors who don’t use theirs and they just give them to me. My mom and mother-in-law are both widows and don’t buy very much in the way of groceries so they save them for me too. I try to repay the favor by sharing freebies with them.
I have a friend who recycles all the papers from a nearby retirement home, and thereby gets both free papers and multiple coupon inserts. Sometimes up to 25 of each.

Personally, the number of Sunday papers I buy depends on the coupons in them. I have a family of 5 and we also supply my husband’s grandma with her groceries. My newspapers always pay for themselves. Just in my grocery trip yesterday I saved over $50 in coupons alone. So it is one of those situations where you have to use your noodle. I live in Kansas and I have also had the great privilege of being able to donate hundreds of items to Joplin because of coupons. Without them, I would never have been able to afford it.

Some people resort to dumpster diving for extra coupons. There is a church up the road from me who always throws out their sunday papers and it’s on someone paper route. I have found tons of complete inserts, complete newspaper inserts, bundled together….all with coupons. So people do purchase coupons but you just have to make sure it’s something your willing to buy. In this picture…the Cascade is worth “buying” b/c it’s expensive. I have found over 50 of those coupons, so I have stocked up on Cascade and even shared some with friends. It just depends on how you use your coupons and what you need.

they are yogurt drinks, the coupon was b1g1 free & they were only around .93 cents each. great for the kids or a break at work

That is fantastic!! I have already pretty well cleared out my small stockpile to donate to the families that have lost their homes to the wildfires here in Texas. I made another trip today for more with extra coupons that my coworkers saved for me. If it wasn’t for coupons I would not be able to help much at all due to finances. It is definitely an amazing feeling to know that I’ve helped out. I may be in the same situation one day myself and can only pray that someone would do the same for me.
Has anyone had any problems with Wal-Mart not accepting the $1 coupon for any cascade product when using it to get the trial packs? I was told I had to purchase the full size and this was Wal-Mart’s policy for ALL stores. I don’t see this addressed in the policy anywhere.
That is not at all what my wal-mart has said… they must stick to the wording on the coupon. Call corporate.
