There is a coupon for a Free Starbucks Refreshers in this Sundays coupon inserts. They are priced at $1.98 at Walmart, BUT they are on sale this week at Walgreens for only $1.49 so here is how it can be a MONEY MAKER.
The way that the cashier is SUPPOSED to handle this transaction at Walmart is to adjust the price down and then write the FULL Walmart Price and enter it into the system, this will then apply Walmart’s full price for the coupon. I do not know why exactly they do it this way, but it is their normal operating procedure! You shouldn’t have to do anything for this to happen but, I say possible because I am fully aware that not everyone will have it done this way and will be a very tough argument to explain and win.
Has anyone had these yet?? I am guessing they are like an energy drink?
Buy Starbucks Refreshers $1.49 – $1.98

They are AWESOME!!!!
The strawberry ones ARE FANTASTIC!
technically you are wrong. they will only write the price of the drink to how much you paid. no extra it will be the 1.49 or 1.98 you would pay the deposit.
As crazy as it sounds I actually am not wrong and I don’t get to say that much. Here is an example from a Memo to Store Managers from Corporate. Notice in the example they are instructed to reduce the price and then put the Walmart price on the coupon and enter it in the system.
* Ad match should be completed first
-Buy one shampoo @ $1.50 get one free is the Ad Match.(quantities limited)
-Walmart’s price is $2.50
*Price override two bottle of shampoo that are required in the BOGO ad match to $.75 each(tax)
-Review quantities on coupon/ad
*Scan the BOGO Manufacturer coupon and enter $2.50 as that is Walmart’s retail price.
-Ensure that $2.50 is written on the manufacturer coupon.
-A minimum of 3 items must be purchased(accounted for) when using this ad match/ coupon combination
Paul,
How is the minimum 3 items purchased (accounted for) achieved in the above example if only 2 items are used with a BOGO coupon? Also, the corporate memo you mention is correct and should be used/applied on such purchases. It helps to be familiar with certain cashiers and supervisors that are up to speed on such transactions. It takes time and effort to educate your stores employees in order to insure you take full advantage of all the savings available to you. Thank you for all that you do.
the 3rd item must be purchased if you want to use an additional MFG coupon.
paul, can i print this and show them?
Where did you find these? I looked all over and no luck.
At my Walmart they were in a Starbucks cooler at the front of the store near the deli/produce area not to far from the checkout area.
I got the starbucks refreshers raspberry pomegranate free and tastes pretty good – Also though the pepsii next, mountain dew bottle soda etc. says 2/$3 in walgreens but rings up & is actually .99 a bottle & there is $l off 2 coupon in same insert – so comes out to .99 for 2 bottles (.49/.50)- Walgreens also has 2/$7 skinny cow icecream and a $2 off coupon in their book & use the buy2getl in the insert & $1.50 off coupon next to it in the insert = 3 boxes skinny cows = 7-2=5-1.50=$3.50
They have had peelies for $1/1 at a gas station, priced at $1.49. For that price, I grabbed 2 of each flavor, and LOVED them!! SO, I bought the MOST papers ever today to get these FREE. I hope to get more coupons too, as I REALLY love them. They are priced even LESS than WM at my grocery store, which is pretty amazing actually, for $1.69. lol
Paul,
Can you post a copy (scan, screenshot, photo, etc.) of the memo here?
