Allison found a great deal on the 18ct. Kotex U panty liners. They are not the trial size, you can find them with the regular Kotex items.
It might only be $.02 overage, but that is still overage!
** O.K. I have been reading a bunch of different reports on the coupons that came out. Apparently some say pads and some don’t. Also, honestly I am not sure of the difference or if there is one, between pads or liners and if/or they are the same thing. So use your best judgment on this one.
Does the pads coupon really work on liners? The last time I was at the grocery store (not Walmart), the lady said pads and liners aren’t the same thing. If anyone’s done this at Walmart, I’d love to hear if it worked. 🙂
Lindsay, you can NOT use a pad coupon for liners…this coupon matchup is fraud and if this Allison person did get them free with the suggested coupon then it was a mistake on the employees part. this is why couponers get a bad rap, using coupons for things you shouldn’t be using. I want free stuff as much as the next person but you have to be a responsible couponer.
Kara-
This is the “Allison person”…First and foremost, I am an extremely honest and ‘resonsible’ couponer, so you should probably not start pointing fingers. The cashier at my store scanned it no problem, and I was not trying to get “free” stuff that day considering my grocery bill was over $50..I understand that there are not honest couponers out there, but you might not want to go acting like the coupon police without really knowing the situation.
Now there is such a thing as accidentally commiting coupon fraud. Like if our dear Pual uses a pads coupon on liners and it goes through without beeping, I would not consider that fraud because he does not know the difference. Now if he (or anyone) does know the difference and does use the coupon then that is fraud and wrong!
If it wasn’t intentional then nothing to get your shorts in a bunch about. I’ve made mistakes before and realized after I left that I had given the wrong coupon. Intentionally using a coupon for a product that is not listed on the coupon whether it scans or not is coupon fraud. Lots of products will scan for items the manufacturer did not intend for you to use the coupon on. It’s called “family coding”. The cashiers are supposed to look at the coupons not just scan them and not accept them if the coupon is not for the product bought. Not trying to be the coupon police but Walmart, I think, is being very generous with their new coupon policy and I think we should respect them and do the right thing.
Oh, forgot….Paul, since you’re a guy I understand you not knowing the difference between pads and liners. Believe me, there is a difference LOL!! Companies put out coupons for pads and for liners….liners cost much less to make so the coupon values are smaller than pad coupons.
Sorry, one more thing…there is a printable coupon for $1.00/1 ANY U By Kotex here: http://www.ubykotex.com/get_coupons/overview and it has no restrictions so it can be used on the travel size 18-ct. making them $.24 and no worries about coupon fraud 🙂
LMBO!!!! Poor Paul!!!!!!!
Someone on WUC called Kotex and asked about this coupon, they stated it could be used on ANY Kotex U pad or liner product.
Wow, thanks!
What is WUC?
We Use Coupons
I agree. They are NOT the same thing and the coupon should not of been used.
What did I do here, sorry to all. These are not products I use often, but someday I will be buying lots of them(5 girls). I do not condone the use of coupons for ways other than how they are intended, no matter how harmless it seems. That was the other girl on Extreme Couponing.
