One month ago, I set a goal for myself to lose 20 pounds in 30 days. Woo-Hoo!!! The 30 Day Great Weight Rollback Challenge has officially ended and it is time for the final weigh in! 30 days actually ended yesterday but I didn’t want to upstage the Super Bowl with my results. You are welcome NFL.
This has been a crazy 30 days, especially the last 2 weeks. I have had a few set backs, not enough time to exercise and a few cases of SPOUSAL SABOTAGE, yes she tried her best and in one case she did succeed. 3 days ago, coming down the home stretch she made this!!!! Who does that?!?!
Despite it all, I am so excited to report that I made it!!! I lost almost exactly 20 pounds and I can honestly say that the biggest factor was changing what I eat. Carbs, those blasted carbohydrates are the root of all evil especially sugar. It is really easy to figure out why they cause you to gain weight if you understand the purpose of food. Carbs have a place, most of us just can’t control ourselves.
I didn’t get enough exercise or enough sleep during the challenge. It does give me hope because I have about 2 pounds more I want to lose. If I actually workout 5-6 days a week and give my body the sleep time it needs to recover I know I can get there.
Enough about me, I want to hear about you. How did you do on your 30 day challenge. I heard so many inspiring goals and comments throughout my journey, I would love to know what you accomplished and details on how you did it. Pictures would be awesome!!
Congrats on reaching your 30 day goal!
Thanks Amanda!
Congratulations. Keep up the good work and you will get there. I started in January and have lost 15lb’s so far.As a diabetic,I have to have a certain amount of carbs to keep my blood sugars level, so I can’t lose as fast as I want to but I eventually want to lose 50 more lbs.
That’s awesome! Congrats, Paul!! Very inspiring 🙂
You did a real good job, keep it up 🙂
I love it! Congrats! You are so right about sugar. Giving up sweets is most of it– very tough to do! You crack me up–“you’re welcome NFL”
