Heads up! This FAKE $8 Huggies coupon has been making the rounds AGAIN! It is usually sent by well meaning friends as a PDF or Word document. This coupon is fraudulent and should NOT be used for any reason!
There are a few clues that should let you know that this is a likely fraudulent coupon:
- It is “high value” – $8 off Huggies is a REALLY big coupon. They just don’t make these.
- They are sent in a PDF format and do not come from the manufacturer.
- They just don’t “look” right.
- There are multiple coupons in the PDF from different manufacturers.
If you ever have any questions about coupons please go to the CIC (coupon information center) and look at the fraudulent coupon list and see if they are on there.
Is there anyway to change the picture to the actual coupon when I “share” it on facebook?
does it give you any arrows near the picture? it should say “Choose a thumbnail”, that is how I have to change it
I actually bought some diapers from Walgreens a couple weeks ago (using some real coupons), and the cashier told me that a lady had used some $8 off coupons earlier – she told me I should look for them online! Of course, I was suspicious, and a quick Google search confirmed that it was fake. I wonder how many of them they accepted before they realized they were fake?
I was just at Walmart on Monday morning and this woman had a cart full of huggies diapers with just a few other small items. She easily had 10-15 packages of diapers. She was trying to do the selfcheckout and she was having coupon trouble. When the attendant came over to help her, she called over a manager who then went over to a computer and they proceeded to tell her they couldn’t take her coupons. She literally blew up. I pretty much saw it all happen because I was waiting to checkout myself.
i once was behind a lady that a coupon of hers kept beeping, i was standing where i could see it and could tell immediately it was fake. it didn’t have a pin number or anything. they refused it finally. i showed the cashier a “real” internet coupon, explaining if someone gave her one it needed a “pin” number and then if they had more than one to double check the pins to make sure they hadn’t been copied.
I see ppl in my coupon group bragging about getting all them free. Its sad and pathetic. If you coupon you know an $8 huggies coupon is fake
If the coupon was fake then why when scanned did it work in the systems?
