Walmart Price Match Ending in Some Areas!

As we reported a few days ago – we’ve learned this week of Walmart Price Match ending in some areas. We’ve heard back from a couple more areas who’ve spotted the blue warning signs at their register and Paul has spoken with Walmart extensively.

Here are the facts about Walmart Price Match ending:

Starting June 9, Walmart Price will cease to price match competitors at 500 stores
Stores affected will have blue signs hung by the registers to alert customers

At affected stores:

Walmart will lower prices on thousands of items to LOWER than other stores have them
– Examples include Paper Products and Food
Walmart will NO LONGER match Amazon.com & other online retailers at those stores
Walmart WILL continue to match Walmart.com prices at those stores
Walmart will further encourage customers to use Savings Catcher.

**Savings Catcher is an app that price matches other stores in the area to give you money back on your trip via a Walmart giftcard.

Areas affected by Walmart Price Match Ending:

I wasn’t sure I would like the Salt and Fresh Ground Pepper Chips. I love salty but the pepper, I just wasn’t sure about. No worries, these are delish with just the right amount of flavor and worth a stop at Walmart. Kettle Chips: $2.00 (Starting Sunday 5/22)

Changes Coming to Walmart’s Price Match Policy

walmart price match policy I heart the mart Lots of things have been going on lately with Walmart. Walmart is always working on being the low price leader and they are working on some new things that could affect you.

Starting as early as June 9th, in a small select market (500 stores) Walmart will start special long-term rollbacks on thousands of products throughout those stores like paper products and food. These rollbacks are going to be even lower than the other Walmart’s prices and because of this, those Walmart will no longer be able to ad or online price match at the checkout register.

You will still be able to price match Walmart.com at these 500 stores.

This is not going to be a bad thing. Walmart understands how important saving money is to us and they want to remain that low price leader. The reason they are phasing out price matching in these particular Walmarts is because they plan to drop the prices so low that we will have no need for price matching there.

NOTE: Right now this will only affect the 500 stores with long-term rollbacks.

If your Walmart is one of the chosen ones, you will start to see signs at the registers to notify you. Keep your eyes out for the blue signs at the check stands. We don’t know which stores are going to be part of the 500 but I can tell you that Texas Walmarts will not be a part of these changes.

These changes will not effect:

Walmart.com prices or Walmart.com’s online price match policy
Savings Catcher
