Walmart.com – You can now pay with cash!

Thursday while I was dropping the kids off at school, on my favorite radio station was talking about the new program that Walmart.com was offering. You are now able to pay with cash when you purchase something at Walmart.com. It was funny to listen to the anchors try and figure out why anyone would want to use cash when buying online. They thought it was stupid, just use your card, or buy the stuff in the store anyway they were saying.

I think this is a great idea for a few reasons.

There are items you can only get online.
If you are an envelope system, cash using family, this is awesome!
Perfect for people who don’t use credit or debit cards.

The biggest reason…..

You can basically price match to Walmart.com now!!

I went in and “bought” something to see what my choices were. Sure enough, the cash option is there! Just choose cash and “site to store” to get free shipping and pick it up a few days later as if you bought it in the store!

Don’t forget Walmart.com’s other new program the Disc to Digital.

I don’t normally post about Swagbucks but after seeing how much of our Christmas was paid for with Swagbucks this year, I think it is really beneficial if you are wanting to cut some costs. This morning I saw that there is now a Walmart.com gift card available. You will need 659 Swagbucks to cash in for this $5 gift card which really shouldn’t take that long at all.
