Forget Shopping Black Friday on Thanksgiving day or Friday. Walmart made a huge announcement today that just hit me what it really means. Black Friday starts on Friday November 22 at Walmart. I totally glazed over, which happens at 5:30 am, the part about the examples of sales in the memo they sent out. I thought they were just general examples, UMMMM NO!! These are the actual prices that are going to start on Friday.
At 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, Walmart will kick off a pre-Black Friday savings event in stores and online, lowering the prices on popular toys and electronics, to match select Black Friday offers from Target, Toys R’ Us and Best Buy one week early.

To clear up some online confusion. The deals will be available online on friday. I am trying to find out if you buy it online now if they will give you a gift card back when they drop the price.
When Duncan Mac Naughton of Walmart said : “Black Friday is our Super Bowl and we plan to win,” he wasn’t kidding.
I have learned that Walmart is going to take around 100 of the competitions hottest Black Friday Items and put them on sale starting Friday. You won’t even have to go out on Thanksgiving if you don’t want to and you definitely won’t need to go anywhere but Walmart. At first, I thought they were just going to pick and choose a few items but that isn’t the case. I am waiting on the complete list of items they are marking down.
It is my understanding that because this sale is not the actual Black Friday or Thanksgiving day sale that it is NOT excluded from the Christmas Ad Match Guarantee and you will be able to get gift cards for the difference if you have already bought any items that go on sale friday.
Pssst- GO GET THEM RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!! If I find out that you can buy them online NOW and get the gift cards then I will post links so you can do all your shopping online right now!!!

If you still have questions if Walmart is Price Matching Black Friday Ads I have your answer:
“On Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday and any of their shopping trips, customers can take advantage of the everyday ad match policy* available at Walmart stores. If a customer spots a lower price on an advertised item, and comes into a Walmart store during the same day and time that the competitor’s ad is valid, Walmart will match the price at the register.”

Paul’s Notes: This question came up because of the Christmas Ad Match signs that are in all of the stores. What the signs are intended to mean is that if you bought it prior to black friday you will not be able to get the difference on a gift card. I did tell them that what people would do is just return it for full price during the sale with their receipt and rebuy it at the new price. She said that would be up to an individual store manager to decide.
