This week there is a CRAZY high coupon for $8/2 Cover Girl face product coupon found in the P&G insert this week! Where are you using yours?
This is where I need my wife… and she is not here and her phone is either not charged or she is ignoring me 🙂
What is a “face product”? I am assuming something you use on your face? Does that include eye make up? Because if it does you can score some free with this coupon!
These face items are priced from $5.94 to $7.48, after coupon only $1.94 to $3.48 more than 50% off.
These, $5.97 to $7.94, again more than 50% off when you buy 2 and use the coupon.
Now, is blush a face product???? HELP! If they are then you can score 2 for free, although they are not pictured on the coupon, and we know to not look at the pictures, if this is a face product then it counts and IT IS FREE for 2!
I know these are face products, they are only $4.94 each and so only $.94 after coupon!
Finally, here are a bunch of Cover Girl products that are only $5.94 each.When you buy 2 they are only $1.94 each. This is a really HOT coupon, I am not sure how long make up lasts but you could stick up for a while. My wife always pays her sisters to babysit with makeup so that is another idea to make gift baskets with these!
Got some eyeshadow for $3.24 each -so some nice overage for groceries.

I got free eyeshadow at my Walmart today, right after I got my paper.
This is a situation where we the consumers need to use some self control. There are PLENTY of products that this coupon is good for. Per the CG website eyeshadow and the pencils are not what the coupon is intended for when it says “face products”. It is an easy mistake to make, but if you are aware please do not misuse the coupon.
According to CG’s website- face products do not include eye or lip products.
Only was able to get 3 of these coupons. I went to buy some extra papers (they are only .75) and the coupons had been stolen out of all the papers! Literally, I went to 3 gas stations and they had the papers and no coupons except the GM insert. So bummed! But hey, the three I got (2 from friends and 1 from my home delivered paper) will get me six! I love your site! And am definitely looking forward to free makeup!
Sometimes the coupons aren’t stolen, but the newspaper co. literally ran out of ads. I learned this when I didn’t check before I bought some once.
i used my coupons on the covergirl powder puffs and sponges (face beauty tools).I already have enough blush and foundation and didn’t want the makeup to expire. I used 4 coupons and bought a total of 4 powder puffs and 4 sponges at $2.97 each. so i got 8 beauty face tools and a nice $8.24 profit that i used on my other items 🙂 the beauty tools is a nice deal because i wouldn’t want to get a ton of makeup that will expire before i get to use it.
Got mine free too! Too expensive here in Alaska to be free with just the coupon though, but my store had a 1/2 off cosmetics item coupon so I got it free with that!!! 🙂
I got my papers on saturday so i was able to use 2 of my 4 coupons at wags yesterday CG was BOGO50%, so i got overage with 2 blush and 2 nearly free face powder. i kept 2 coupons to see what deals i can get the rest of the month.
How can you get papers on Sat?
In Houston there is a Early Sunday Edition that comes out on Saturdays.

Currently they have covergirl products buy 1 get 1 50% off so here’s what I did:
I bought 1 covergirl concealer priced at $5.99 & 1 covergirl bronzer priced at $4.99 – 50%off (CVS Store Sale) = $2.49 then I used the $8/2 coupon and paid $0.49 for both !!!!
I got so excited when I got .34 cents back that I left with my heart pounding and forgot my stuff!
I got two eyshadows, 2 blushes, 4 nivea lip morturizers (using the price match at walgreens and coupon in sundays paper) It wasn’t till I already had the kids in the car before i realized i had left everything..but don’t worry i got it 🙂

I used mine at kmart where they have cover girl on sale buy one get one 50% off so their blush was $4.29 then $2.15 for the second so $6.44 for 2 and I even got the overage to use towards my other stuff. Yippee!
I used one of mine at Walmart. They had a special package that included foundation and powder for $8.48 so I paid .48 cents for it. Thanks to the previous tip on CVS, I will be heading there with my other one! = )
Regarding Angela post: Correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t you have to buy (2) special packages of the Covergirl since the coupon is for $8/2 Any Covergirl Face Products. The special package counts as “one product” not “two products” even though there are 2 items attach to one product. Hope I make sense. I just want to make sure I do this right before I head to Walmart.
I used mine yesterday to get 3 blushes and one bronzer for free. 🙂 I’ll be giving them away though because I can’t stand that “covergirl” smell to them.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn’t your eyes and your mouth part of your face? According to 1-800-426-8374 (CG Customer Service) the $8/2 Coupon can be used for ANY Cover Girl Face Product. Shelly at Cover Girl says that eye care and lip care is considered face products. If you have any questions I encourage you to contact Cover Girls 1-800 Number. Press 0 to speak to an operator.
Chrissy, you are correct that they are part of your face. They are not a face product per CG. I did call and I will admit that at first the CSR told me the same thing, she was then interrupted by a manager and said that the coupon is only valid for items listed on the Cover Girl Website as “Face Products”. I believe that CG’s poor judgement is going to cost them a lot of money and there is definitely a part of me that says stick it to them, they are dumb and deserve it. Then there is the part of me that knows I am not going to quit couponing anytime soon and does not want them to stop coming out with these offers. There are more than enough good deals with the coupon as intended, even as poorly communicated as it is.
I was totally confused about this coupon so I called Cover Girl and I am still confused. I purchased lipstick (did not know lipstick was not a face product or listed as such when I purchased it) and makeup sponges as sponges were listed on their web site as a beauty tool under Face Products. I asked the operator and she said coupon was for Foundation, Powder, Concealer, and Bronzer only. I mentioned about Beauty Tools listed on Face Product section, then she said its whatever the store will allow! Confused and feel weird about using the coupons I have left. I have read other posts where Cover Girl said eye shadow was ok becuase the coupons was not very specific. Couponining used to be fun for me!
It should still be fun. You are not at fault because of the way it was worded AND you didn’t know any better. That is why I am trying to get the info out there.
I saw on here that Kathleen used these $8/2 Covergirl face product coupons on face beauty tools. I did not need any makeup so I figured I’d pick up some face sponges. I got 2 @ 3.24 each. The coupon did not work. The supervisor said it was because the items did not total $8 and I could not use the coupon! No overage for me. 🙁
I tried to use 2 of the coupons on 4 blushes in 1 transaction tonight at Wal-mart. The cashier got so mad at me and said “Jesus Christ, why can’t you people understand…” He then proceeded to walk off with my coupon and got on the phone (I was at the self check out). I went over to him and asked for the coupon back. I got his name and plan to contact management.
Should I have done 2 transactions? I left and did not get any product and will not shop at Wal-mart anymore. I was so angry when I left that I left my Maybelline Great Lash coupon behind!
That funny smell!!! YES, it’s overwhelmingly menthol, I think. These products irritate the heck out of my face; make it itch like crazy and turn puffy, red and hot, hot, hot…not COOL
